The tank will tell

I was starting to have an outbrake of algae. I did a quick water test, and sure enough my Nitrates were 0. I didn't think about it when I added the 25watt T5, but I guess the increase in light gave the plants the added oomph to suck down more KNO3. I am now adding 3/8 of a tea spoon of KNO3 to the tank. PO4 is still over 1 so I am not going to do anything with that. I am adding 1/4tea spoon of CSMP+B to the tank twice a week. In just 2 days I have noticed that the algae is at a standstill and the plants have notable growth.
